Title: “Causes and consequences of interspecific gene flow in two plant species pairs”
Abstract: Gene flow between species potentially has important evolutionary consequences, including reinforcement, cascading speciation and adaptive introgression. In this talk, I discuss two studies of gene flow for two species pairs and how our results shed new light on these processes. In addition, I examine genomic factors that influence the magnitude of introgression under continual gene flow.
