Over the past two years, three new lab spaces on the seventh floor have been renovated for new faculty in the department.

The Tosches lab published an exciting new paper in Science on the organization of the salamander brain, with important implications for the evolution of the brain in vertebrates.
The department is pleased to congratulate Dr. Maria Tosches on being awarded the 2022 EMBL John Kendrew Young Scientist Award for “her original contributions to the field of brain evolution.”
Dr. Maria Antonietta Tosches has received the McKnight Scholar Award, a competitive award granted by the McKnight Foundation to assistant professors in neuroscience.
