Congratulations to Dr. Ishmail Abdus-Saboor and his team, as Dr. Abdus-Saboor was selected for a prestigious Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Science Diversity Leadership Award for his project Uncovering Peripheral and Central Neural Circuits for Inflammatory Pain.
This award is the result of a partnership between CZI and the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, who have launched the Science Diversity Leadership program, "a funding opportunity that aims to recognize and further the leadership of excellent biomedical researchers who — through their outreach, mentoring, teaching, and leadership — have a record of promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in their scientific fields."
Professor Abdus-Saboor will receive $1.15 million over five years under this award.
