Jellert Gaublomme, Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences at Columbia, was awarded a Human Gut Cell Atlas grant to develop and apply novel methods for spatially resolved mapping of cellular states at a genome wide scale in Crohn’s disease intestinal tissue.
The Gaublomme lab is very grateful for the generous support of the Helmsley Charitable Trust, and honored to be part of the Gut Cell Atlas, an effort that aims to catalogue the many cell types of the gut and understand distinct cell functions and interactions in health and Crohn’s disease. The long-term goal is to support the development of therapeutics by bolstering our understanding of the interplay between cell states, tissue function and emergence, progression and treatment of Crohn's disease.
