Six Biology PhD students honored by the 2022 NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP)

This year's winners of the prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) have been announced, and they include three Biology PhD students who were offered awards, as well as three Biology PhD students who received an Honorable Mention.

Awards were offered to second-year students Ben Bokor, Eli Gumnit, and Matt Walker. Mason Armstrong and Matt Johnson, also second-year students, earned Honorable Mentions. Monica Cramer, an incoming first-year PhD student who currently works as a research assistant in Dr. Laura Duvall's lab, also earned an Honorable Mention.

The NSF GRFP is designed to support “outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported STEM disciplines who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees.”
