Liang Tong, William R. Kenan, Jr. professor and department chair of Biological Sciences at Columbia, has led a study elucidating the cryo-EM structure of human ATP-citrate lyase (ACLY) in complex with a potent inhibitor developed at Nimbus, which is published this month in Nature. ACLY is a central metabolic enzyme and an attractive drug discovery target against cancer, high cholesterol, and other diseases.
